Advocacy Efforts: The American Diabetes Association continues to advocate for federal funding and policies that improve access to diabetes care and research.
Educational Opportunities:

  • Register now for the Diabetes Expo and other local events.
  • YMCA offerings: Healthy Mind/Healthy Aging classes and a 12‑week LIVESTRONG program for people living with and surviving cancer.
  • Local resource events (Area Agency on Aging) and classes to help prevent progression from prediabetes.
Back‑to‑School & Resources: Guidance and links for keeping students with Type 1 diabetes safe at school, plus a growing library of short video resources on diabetes on the Coalition website.
Recipe & Practical Tips: A diabetic‑friendly Cheesy Baked Zucchini Casserole recipe, plus blog posts with travel tips and practical advice (e.g., “Vacationing with Diabetes” and “Vacation Location Matters”).
Men’s Health: A featured article highlights men’s health disparities and the importance of preventive care and diabetes awareness for men.
